Rebel and Family

I didn’t have high expectations as Rebel had already been through many group training classes and some private lessons as well. Right off the bat Rebel took to Karin and began looking forward to his weekly sessions. Karin never makes a big deal about all the strange noises Rebel makes, and it never fazes her when Rebel strangers pop their heads out of their houses to see what the heck is going on! Karin is always excited about new ideas to help with Rebel’s issues and thoroughly believes in him. She is always here to encourage us and remind me that every day it will get better, more importantly I don’t feel alone. Thanks Karin!

Gus, Lulu and their Dad

In January 2013, my husband unexpectedly passed away and our loving family, with our two dogs Gus and Lulu, was lost and overcome with grief. While I participated in the daily care of our two rescued and highly reactive dogs, my husband was the primary care giver and I relied on him to be the lead hand in all matters affecting our dogs.Gus and Lulu Karin has been the angel that I needed to help me through this difficult period. These are dogs which had not been socialized at all and in one instance, had suffered significant abuse resulting in loss of hearing. Their reactivity issues were extremely daunting for me and my own behaviours and fears did not always help. In working with the dogs, Karin applied her special techniques to build their confidence, methodically reduce the threshold to their reactivity triggers, and introduce new behaviours through positive reinforcement. Karin routinely went above and beyond in helping me understand how to care for my dogs.
